The Library Lady

My name is Tiah Frankish and I am the librarian at  Prairie View Middle School in Henderson, Colorado.  I just finished my 12th year with the school district and am thoroughly pleased with my job.  It is fun and challenging and full of surprises.

I am a mom of two and wife to Kevin.  We have a dog, Coco.  We love to read and garden and play video games.  However, this summer we went crazy and bought a trampoline.  So I expect that we will have to add that we enjoy trips to the emergency room as well! 

I am a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado where I majored in English and Elementary Education.  I earned my Bachelors degree in 1996.  I have since gone back to school to earn the highly qualified status of Secondary Math teacher.  But most currently, I am enrolled in the School of Library and Information Science at Emporia State University in Kansas.  The analogy I am using right now is that I am a “wooden librarian” (much like Pinocchio) and one day I hope to be a “real librarian.”  I love the job I have been given and am learning so much in my classes that I can apply at my job that I am eager to get back to work.  (I will admit that I am very strange indeed!)
